Directions to Oldenburg Franciscan Center: Oldenburg is located between Cincinnati and Indianapolis on Interstate 74, at Exit 149. Follow SR 229 north to Oldenburg (3 miles). Continue straight past the Marathon gas station and turn right on Vine St. Go up the hill and enter the Convent gate and park in the Parking lot immediately to your left. The Oldenburg Franciscan Center is located in Olivia Hall, the building on your left closest to the cemetery.

Evensong: scripture/Taize' music/silence
Join us for an interfaith prayer service in the Center's Chapel every second Sunday of the month.  We will use the gentle Taize format of simple mantras, scripture readings, and quiet meditation.
2nd Sundays of each month:  May 11, June 8, and August 10,  4-5 p.m.

Using their gifts of song, story and prayer, Mary and Jeanne will lead participants in an opening and closing reflection on the spiritual strength and virtues of faith - past, present and future.

Awakening to the Sacred: a mini-conference for Spiritual Directors, Pastors, DRE's and CRE's
In this multi-media reflection we will consider some of the merging insights from science and ecospirituality which can awaken us to the awesome wonder of our magnificent planet. Seen as "the Word of God being made flesh - in space and time" he universe becomes a window into the Divine.
Paula Gonzalez, SC, PhD taught biology for twenty-five years and then became a "free-lance" environmentalist and futurist. She has given over 1600 programs: workshops, seminars and retreats - on various aspects of Global Futures. Since 1980 she has built two solar buildings and written several articles and book chapters on environmental concerns. She will lead this two-day mini-conference with energy and passion.

3rd Men's Golf Retreat - May 2, 7 p.m. and May 3, 4 p.m.
Meeting God on the Golf Course! Life can be like a game of golf. Spend the day with other men who wish to improve their game of life and golf. We'll start the day off with Liturgy and then off to Cricket Ridge Golf Course for 18 holes of golf followed by lunch and debriefing the experience. Eric Hanson, DC will provide tips on maintaining a healthy spine and body and TBA will lead the faith sharing sessions. Come and enjoy a grace-filled and playful 24 hours.

S. Olga Wittenkind, OSF, PhD
will lead us in a discovery of how Jesus continues to spark us with the flame of his life and mission. Come and enjoy a stimulating discussion as participants share their insights after Olga's presentation.
 
2nd Women's Golf Retreat - July 11, 7 p.m. and July 13, 11 a.m. after Sunday worship
"Does Golfing Lead You
To Prayer or Does Prayer Lead You To Golf ?"
This retreat offers you the opportunity to partipate in both. Come and experience different forms and styles of prayer along with a round or two of golf at the Greensburg Country Club.  Jane Schaefer will guide this playful and prayerful experience. She is a religion teacher at St. John the Baptist School of Cincinnati. She received her degree in Theology from Silver Lake College in Manitowoc, WI. Jane's love of prayer and her passion for golf will serve as the clubs for this 'hole in one' retreat experience.

REIKI and IET PRACTICE: every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, 9am-Noon
All levels of practitioners are invited as well as anyone desiring a healing session. Donations accepted.

ON-GOING SERVICES

Plan to come for a day of quiet reflection or a few days to regroup, revitalize your spirit as well as your body.

Spiritual Direction and private retreats are available by calling (812) 933-6437.
Fees vary, but usually range from $35 - $45 for a session.
  

Inquire about Group Spiritual Direction: an opportunity to mutually benefit from the insights of fellow travelers on the spiritual journey. Such a group of 4 to 5 persons would meet monthly for a two-hour session, sharing scripture and their life stories in that context.
