Kate is one of our newer employees. She’s been with us for four months and is a resident of Oldenburg. She is married to her high school sweetheart Matt. They have been together for 22 years and have three children: Ethan, 20; Owen, 17; and Ella, 15. They also have three dogs.
Kate comes from a big family. She is the youngest of 10 and currently has 48 nieces and nephews, as well as 21 great nieces and nephews.
As an Executive Administrative Assistant, Kate never has a dull moment. She wears many hats, including serving as the Sister’s liaison, helping with their questions and concerns, assisting as needed in the Finance and Advancement offices, helping with IT support, sorting mail, and assisting the Sisters with any phone needs that may arise. Kate enjoys this job because she gets to help others, and she also feels the tremendous appreciation from the Sisters. We are glad to hear it feels like a second home to her.
When Kate is not busy at work, she enjoys puzzling with her husband, decorating, spending time with her family, golfing, and working outside when the weather permits. Some day she would like to go on a safari and visit all 50 states, but she will need to retire to do all this traveling.
Kate expressed her gratitude for being given a chance to work here and loves being here. We want to express how thankful we are that she chose to join us and appreciate the friendships she has made with the Sisters and co-workers!
